Today, I watched a married couple that had clearly been together for some time work through a disagreement. I was selling things in a garage sale, and the husband wanted an item that I had, and the wife was questioning his reasons.
After a few moments of discussion, she finally looked at him and said, "you never complain when I come home with random things from sales, why should I be any different?"
You see, they understood one another, they know wants and desires, and also how to keep them in check. They were honest with each other, and as a result could work through a minor disagreement.
When in a relationship, talk about wants and needs. Always discuss how you and your future spouse feel about savings, and spending. You need to know these things up front in a relationship.
It is okay to disagree, and even better when both parties understand each others position.
Have fun, and love one another!
